Hey, just signed up to new forum. Coolness. For those who don't know I'm one of the writers at Heavy Metal Time Machine (Andy). I love all things metal although I tend to prefer NWOBHM/80s metal the most. Also looking for new bands to review as well so if you or someone you know has an album they want to submit hit me up. We receive over 4,000 hits weekly and cover all things punk, rock and heavy metal.

Hi Andy! I love your blog and following it frequently. Just read your review about TRÖJAN (one of the best bands ever)! and I agree with you they sure deserved more than one album!. Actually they released another album, "Killing the World" under the name TALIÖN with the same vocalist and guitarist (I am sure you know this already) . The content are a bit weaker and not as memorable as "Chasing the Storm" but it's a nice jewel worth to check out.

Hello. It is so cool to find all the wonderful French metal bands. One thing I have noticed is how unique many of the bands sound, as if outside influences didn't result in copycat bands so to speak. I love Mystery Blue especially!

    Well....,

I'm from the great (not weather wise) state of Minnesota.
I'm 20 and only starting collecting last summer. So I got a lot of years ahead of me.
I can thanks the great local record stores for my collection. (Cheapo, Treehouse, Mr. zeros and a few thrift stores)

Wow, just feel honoured yourself - The Ohio Metal scene is one of the best in the world!!! Btw, the same problem with the weather here in Austria, still less snow in the past few years (yeah , we feel the climate changeging ) but freezing cold in winter and rainy summers!

    Hello fellow metalheads !
Quick introduction : I am a Belgian metal addict and always on the lookout for
cool metaltunes either from ancient times or modern stuff... (vking1)
I've been into this business for over 30 years... (yes : I am THAT old... sigh...)
I used to have a metal radio show back in the midst 80's called Metallic Attack.
Also on facebook now: details to follow. I hope to contribute to this superb site.
Catch you around here somewhere !

Yes, the Ohio met scene is growing like crazy! I just went to a local show on Friday the 13th and was blown away by the band The Approach & The Execution (think Protest The Hero meets Coheed and Cambria by way of Iron Maiden/Metallica w/ four part vocal harmonies). It is good to see metal alive and well! BTW Metalhunter your scene has produced some crazy good bands too!

(hmm) I am not sure if our metal scene has produced so much good bands, I think there were only a few which are worth to mention, but our scene was never successful and important as it was maybe from our neighbours like Germany, Switzerland or Italy. Anyway, have you ever heard about the Cleveland band GATLIN??? Worth to check out - there late nineties releases are awesome, but sadly they changed lately their style into modern. Still lookin for their first cd release "Gatlinized Steel" (what)

Hello fellow headbangers! An Italian guy living in paraguay salutes you! I enjoy listening to Heavy Metal Gems as much as i love beer! I'm 20 years old and had the opportunity to see a couple of local underground bands (Metal urbano, Raw hide) and thanks to the blog my knowledge and interest in Heavy Metal grew a lot.

Hi boys! (any girl out there?)

I'm a heavy metal collector since 1988, and I almost totally lost my collection at the February 27 Earthquake here in Chile.

I still conserve all my mp3, so post your wants and I'll look if I have something for you.

    Enjoy yourselves!

    Juan
