We tested a new outro song this night. Since 1991 we had ended every show with Obituary’s “Til Death” and prior to that Voivod’s “To The Death”. We eventually chose Emperor’s “Towards The Pantheon” to end the show with.
During the live broadcast there was a thunderstorm going on outside, so we took the 2nd mic and put it at the window so you could hear the rain and occasional thunder claps. It’s NOT a special effects record, it’s an actual thunderstorm outside. We sometimes turned it up during songs (esp. Masters Hammer), and during mic breaks we kept the mic live. Interesting how one of Evil Eye’s common closing phrases in the 90’s on the show was “Never forget your pagan roots!”, and Mother Earth rewarded us with a live thunderstorm on-the-air.
The ‘Splatter Platter’ this night was the debut Falkenbach CD “...en their medh riki fara...”.
Ripped at 320kbps by Mikael on 3/11/2017.
