In my case it was because, at first i was too lazy to read the rules, and i didn't understand then, why i was beeing damaged with lost points, until i got personal messages and warnings, i think a personal message, or attached to the posts, of warning could make this improve.

Just my opinion.

It's common to miss rules initially, but personal messages or warnings attached to posts could definitely enhance understanding and compliance.
