They also recorded a demo EP prior to this (with 6 songs, if I remember correctly). I knew Hank & Chris when we all went to Penn State together...Wondering if anyone has a copy of the original EP that they could share...would love to hear it again after all these years.

I remember seeing Chris laying down some lead guitar tracks on a small Tascam 4-track in his dorm room for By Silence. Hank and Chris were roommates at this time. Hank was really into King Diamond at the time (he had a poster up on his dorm wall), hence some of the vocals in the long track. Also, around this time, Chris became Born Again and abandoned all of his metal ambitions (and threw out all of his metal cassettes in the process...I begged him to give them to me instead, but he refused since he didn't want to "spread these messages" to anyone else...LOL.)

Ps...no idea why my reputation is so low..I must be doing something wrong that I am not aware of (since I am not on this very of often). Hoping it improves somehow...LOL.

That's interesting. I thought it was funny that Slayer and Jesus Christ both appeared in the thanks list, almost right next to each other!

Yeah, there was a building on campus called Willard Building, which a lot of people had classes in. There were always one or two "regulars" preaching "the gospel" in front of the building (since so many students had classes there). One day, I heard there was a "new guy" outside delivering sermons...it turned out to be Chris...LOL.
