Slight correction there - I am not entirely sure it was Helix who performed "I am For You", can someone verify this? Maybe that's the reason I've never been able to find that song on any of Helix' albums either lol!
Not sure unfortunately, is there anywhere to hear the song? I'm familiar with most of the major Canadian classic rock bands so I'd probably be able to tell if it were Helix or not.
Well boys (and girls), it's been a couple months since posting , but I must admit, I am seriously no closer to finding Suite Jane than what I was several years ago lol.
Not entirely true , to be honest.
With everyone's good sleuthing here, I have now (most likely) linked their "label" to a video production outfit Spectravision Inc. (who went into bankruptcy a number of times before being sold).
I have had a very hard time trying to track down the previous owners of Spectravision/Spectradyne, and have not really been able to locate valid leads, but I am still pushing on. Good music deserves to be heard by all!!
I've had no luck finding anything on that label either unfortunately. Sometimes these bands have their own labels for certain releases, and it's a possibility that this was the case for the compilation this band appeared on. I wonder if playboy would still know who was responsible for their working with that "spectradyne" company.
I just hunted down a website for Blackat (somehow), and you can contact the band/Lisa Jane through it. Scott, you could ask if she knows anything about the band Suite Jane. Seems like a very worthwhile lead aorheart has given you.
Hey @TadakatsuH0nda - you guys are fantastic here, props to aorheart! I cannot find any contact details/information on that website, though, but I will keep looking. (the website looks a little generic, and may be a bit scammy, but I will keep looking when I get back). x
The site has a black bar that says home, music, news, gallery and contact. They want an account made on the site, but the contact feature should be accessible that way.
