"The Madness Theater" was the planned title of the 2nd Marquis de Sade tape. By the time of the pressing they had decided to release it as a self-titled, and after their 1994 split Scott von Heldt and Shawn St. James brought the concept to their new project, and formed Theater of Madness.
Features original vocalist Steve Russell and the guitar solo dubbed as "Scotty's Whirlwind of FIRE" on the title track.
