Witches Brew were set up in the early '80's and initially comprised Ron Gobl, Barry McCabe, Ken Hartnett, Sean Maguire with appearances by Fintan O'Neill and Brian Wynne (Sax on Angeline). Lineup changed sporadically over the next few years (surprised?) and featured good people like Stuart, John Humphries and probably others too. Too much drink and drugs... I can't remember others...

The Brew did lots of gigs around the country with MAMAS BOYS and on their own. Next was TRANZ AM, initially featuring Ron Gobl, Barry McCabe, Imelda May (The original and the best !), John Humphries, Brian Kennedy and Eoin someone or other. This lineup also changed (story of our lives!) with Ron, Barry and Mel being the only constants. TRANZ AM eventually went the way of most bands. You can only spend so long knocking on the door.....
