Scum of the Earth were originally from Dallas but a change in line-up and a harsher sound precipitated a move to Austin in 1990. The 'Posthumous' material was originally entitled 'Infestation of Filth' and was intended to be self released but before the band could raise the bucks to mix/master the recording, the studio went over the 2" tape and soon after the band dissolved.

This full length was recorded at Sound Logic in Dallas, Tx but was never mixed properly due to financial and legal concerns. In 2007 one of the unmixed versions was taken into a studio in Washington DC and an attempt was made at mix/mastering.
