I’m looking to trade, or purchase some old Tele5 Hard n’ Heavy VHS tapes.
Preferably 1st gen original tapes if possible. They don’t have to be complete, I don’t mind tapes with random videos.
I’ve got a huge, huge collection of everything you can imagine as far as video goes.
Recently I’ve been transferring complete, high quality episodes of Headbangers Ball to uncompressed BD-R (BDAV Blu-Ray discs). I can fit a little over 5 hours in XP Mode on those discs, so I’ve decided to start doing everything on BD-R from now on.

I can record in both PAL and NTSC, I’ve got several different VCRs that can play both formats.
I’ve also been transferring countless MuchMusic’s Power Hour and Power 30 tapes from Canada, as well as the later show called LOUD, which also broadcasted in the United States. I have more of those than I can count honestly. I’ve got hundreds and hundreds of those tapes. A mixture of full episodes and various videos plus rare interviews.
The quality on everything is totally excellent though. I’m extremely picky when it comes to quality, that’s why I’m searching for original 1st gen tapes.

I’ve got a lot of Japanese metal shows, I have a lot of complete MTV Europe (Headbangers Ball and more).
The only thing that I need more of is Tele5. I’ve got countless official VHS, Laserdisc and DVDs, so I don’t need any of those. But if there’s anything you might be looking for, there’s a very good chance that I have it.
I have collected countless 4/3” U-Matic tapes, some I’ve purchased from old TV stations who went out of business and sold their old outdated media.

If you’re looking for a specific music video, I probably have several different copies of it.
I’ve been recording off VH1 Classic since 2003, when I first got my standalone DVD Recorder, so I have a very big collection of videos recorded directly from satellite / digital TV to DVD.

I’m also searching for early, complete Headbangers Ball 1st gen VHS tapes. I have quite a few, but I’m always looking for upgrades or episodes that I’m missing.

I’m mainly after the 1987 to 1990 episodes. I have so much after that, and I’m in the process right now of getting them transferred to Blu-Ray, because they’re over 3 hours long with all the commercials and music videos intact.
I’m trying to upgrade the terrible quality LP Mode DVD-Rs that are floating around everywhere. 3 hours on a DVD5 looks next to unwatchable, especially on an HDTV.

Thanks for taking the time out to read all of this crap! I’m doing what I can to preserve these old tapes while I can, unfortunately I have found several that are rotting, and only getting worse. So getting them on DVD/Blu-Ray as soon as possible is essential.

Here are a few things I’ve done in the last couple years or so. Definitely not everything, but you can see how much of an upgrade most of this is compared to the low quality 2nd gen VHS copies that are 3 hours shoved on a single DVD5 disc.

This is all a mixture of screenshots I’ve put together from different transfers I’ve done, there’s some MuchMusic’s Power Hour (Canada), Heavy Metal Mania, Headbangers Ball, Radio 1990, U68 Power Hour (NYC UHF channel from the early-mid 80’s) and some Japanese MTV.
