The band was founded in 1987 by bassist Rolf Koch, singer Dirk Pützfeld, drummer Elmar Gehenzig, and guitarist Sven Fischer and Dennis Vaupel. Together they developed the first songs and released the following year their first demo Welcome to the Crab-Louse-City .
