A friend of mine owned a record store. He had an incredible record collection that included a ton of NWOBHM 7" and compilations. He sold many of them through his store, but during the 80s, recorded albums and 7" singles to cassette. Back in '05, when he was getting rid of his cassettes, he told me to take what I wanted. This was a compilation of NWOBHM songs that he put together from different vinyl sources and recorded to a chrome cassette. I took the cassette and recorded it to digital format. I filed it without giving it a close listen. I recently listened to it, and realized that it sounds great so I wanted to share it with anyone who wanted it. The tape just had N.W.O.B.H.M. written on it. I could have come up with a clever title for this compilation, but wanted to stay true to what was written on the cassette.

I took the time to tighten-up the songs and remove major pops from them. The Dragon Slayer track, however, had heavy static. I spent about an hour removing major pops from the track. It sounds better, but there is still static in the track. I just created a new link for my cleaned up version.
