Info

Garry "Flabby" Dalloway (Vocals)
Phil Aston (Guitars)
Steven Hough (Bass)
Pete Malbasa (Drums)

For those of you who don't know the importance of this band, they were one of the coolest bands of the NWOBHM period and the first signing to the legendary Heavy Metal Records.
Their debut 7" single "All Riot Now" with "The Mark Of The Beast" on the flip side was released back in 1980 and naturally was the first thing that label ever released.
Two subsequent 45s, "Sweeties" & the "Breaker" EP were then released, followed by their 1981 debut LP "Bestiality".
The LP attracted attention not only because the music was excellent, but also because of the instantly recognizable and bizarre album cover.
A four song BBC Friday Rock Show session was also recorded at the BBC's Maida Vale studios by request of DJ Tommy Vance, and broadcast later that year.
Perhaps to ears used to the onslaught of modern Metallic variants much of this may now sound a little dated.
Personally, I think this is how Metal should be played; Heavy but melodic, a driving beat layered with crunching guitars and topped by soaring vocals.
It gets the ol' head banging!

My pleasure Strappado, i found it on an old disc and thought i'd throw it up as i hadn't seen it posted.
Nice to know there's still some love and respect out there for the ole Beasts.
I always felt they deserved to be held in higher regard.
