I apologize for my prolonged absence from HMR, which has been due to a combination of work and family obligations. So I will attempt to make up for it by posting an album which is perfect for this chilly winter season: the sole full-length from Lithuania's Ars Moriendi. This band combines Doom, Death, Black, and Gothic Metal for a sound which is unique and quite melancholy, but not oppressively so. At times they are reminiscent of Tristitia or even My Dying Bride, though they are more gothic-sounding than the former and more up-tempo than the latter. Enjoy.
