It is an amazing album, but between this (and the various other commitments to O.S.I., Redemption, Halford, etc.) and the continuing lack of a new release in the past...wow, has it really been eight years?...is Fates even still a going concern?
It's great to hear that John Arch's vocals haven't lost their touch after all these years.
To me he still deserves to be mentioned along side Rob Halford, J.D. Kimbell, Rob Lowe (from Solitude Aeturnus not the actor of the same name XD) Bruce Dickenson and any other Heavy Metal vocalist I may be forgetting or not know of.
Sorry to bump an old thread but John is a longtime friend of mine and is a neighbor here in town
Here he is with my kids
Us having fun at my house
His wife Jeannie getting licked to death by our dog Pouncy while John is signing my Gibson Explorer
Jeannie is a sweetheart, When they played at the Webster Theater, she gave all of us free tickets and backstage passes for after the show which I have a zillion pictures and videos of
John's Harley
He also gave me a couple copies of the Arch/Matheos release but mine are 2lp gatefold sets that include John's Twist of the Fate ep disc. One is black vinyl, the other set is orange vinyl. Never see them for sale anywhere, not sure if they were ever officially released
I will be seeing him this week so if anyone has any questions for him, feel free to ask and I will forward them to him
Thanks for the update & photo's. I actually just have (just) one question. What's John doing nowadays for a living? I can't make that one up from his Facebook page. The EP was a one of and the Arch/Matheos album maybe so too. You never know though with the creativity from Jim Matheos (It was just announced that he had almost finished writing the material for the 11th FW album).
Nico, John used to work for a cabinet company in Vernon. I can't really say where he works now without his permission. Regarding the new FW album, I have to wonder who will sing on it. I know John and the guys will not be doing any major touring. Frank just got married recently, he lives up in Massachusetts and Jim still lives in New Hampshire. We are all New Englanders
We got over 12" of snow lastnight so he will be plowing w/ his truck. He probably will stop by today since our driveway definitely needs to be plowed
