Hello everyone,

Nice to be here with people who share the passion for obscure metal. I'm 39 yrs old, and I love most kinds of metal - especially traditional, epic, NWoBHM (80's metal in general). And always remember: Old-school = Old's cool!!

See ya!

To give you an idea, this was the tracklisting for the very first show :

Slayer: Chemical Warfare, G-Force: Rockin' and Rollin', Metal Church: Metal Church,
Hellhammer: Massacra, Exciter: Under Attack, Motörhead: Back at the funny farm, Grave Digger, Witch hunter, Voïvod: Suck your bone, Tank: That's what dreams are made of, Warning: Cine Regard, Jaguar: Prisoner, Black Sabbath: Lonely is the world.

I still have some cassettes lying around from that time but how the hell do I digitalize that stuff???

(hmm)

Many good choices in that tracklist, I would just be happy if any of these songs was aired on the radio today.
Digitalize cassettes are not so hard if you have the correcet equipment.. there are many guides around the net

Well, dude. I am not exactly a computerwizzard, to put it mildly... (hmm)
I will look into it.

But since I am new here maybe I own a new 'rarities' email ? (hmm)

If so, where can I access that ?

'kzal het maar in het nederlands schrijven(dat gaat mij genakkelijker zo) (hehe)
ik heb u een mail gezonden via windows live messenger
laat mij weten of u die ontvangen hebt zoniet zullen we een andere oplossing zoeken
ik denk dat we nog in de jaren 80 naar elkaars (radio)programma hebben geluisterd.
en denk, dat we enkele gemeentes van elkaar wonen
laat iets weten he
en verder nog veel metal plezier
groeten kitte

Man man... wat een gigantisch toeval zeg.
Ik heb met verbazing je mail gelezen en beantwoord.

For the other readers : sorry about this intermezzo in Dutch but it seems that me and Kitte live very close to eachother and share a very similar past. He as well hosted a radio show around that time. Amazing coincidence that we meet here. (vking1)

I've checked this page very often - therefore I thought it would be a good idea to register here. Oh, and then I saw some recorded stuff from the last Keep It True festival here in the forum!! GREAT!

To my person: I'm listening to metal for over 23 or 24 years now. I like the old stuff from the 70's and 80's. The 90's had some moments (especially in the Death Metal and Black Metal genre) but I'm more rooted in the 80's. I like nearly every musical metal genre and my most favourite one is THRASH METAL of course. I have lots of favourite bands...only to name a few: Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, Brocas Helm, Toxik, Slayer (80's), Metallica (80's), Celtic Frost, Iron Maiden, Overkill, Death, Autopsy, Pungent Stench, Manilla Road, Cirith Ungol, Death SS, Stormtrooper, Black Sabbath, Venom (80's), Misfits, Dead Kennedys, Razor, Megadeth, Anthrax (80's), Slaughter (CAN), Nuclear Assault, Satan's Host (80's), Holocaust, Satan, Witchfinder General, Angel Witch etc. etc. etc. too much to name

I've just uploaded my own vinyl rip of the CARNAGE (US) LP for you guys in 256kbit (I hope it works-I used to upload form...). The quality is far better than the previous posted versions.

Greetings

Bloodfreak

Glad to have found this place. I'm a lifelong metalhead. I started with Kiss n the mid-70s, and my tastes only got bigger and heavier since than! I love a wide variety of metal, but my preference over the last few years has been for female-fronted bands...

Hope to "meet" many of you!
