Hey KJ, I have a few questions about the group Five Fingers in this thread here if you know anything about them: viewtopic.php?f=134&t=23567

It seems Rami has disbanded Raglaia and will start a "solo" project this year. i dislike this term because unless you are a one-man band no one is truly solo.

It makes sense, though that she does this. She made very little effort with Raglaia. The tour was a whopping 3 dates. She used musicians who had other bands, not musicians dedicated to the band itself.

Hopefully she will make more of an effort with this solo project.

I hope she does. Solo projects bring out the best or worst about any single musician's ability, should be interesting seeing what she's got in terms of writing all her music, I wonder who her band will include. :o

Well she needs dedicated people. I said this on the other board. I never took Raglaia seriously because K-A-Z had SADS, Ery had KillsKills and Youth-K had something. She needs a full time, all-in band like she had with Aldious.

And she needs a songwriting partner on par with Yoshi bad. The Creation album was so inconsistent.

I would love if she teamed up with someone like Eita since she doesn't have a consistent band at the moment either, with Seven Seas only performing together once every month or two, and Takae passing away. She seems like a guitarist that could compliment Rami very well in a metal band, and I'm fairly sure they at least know each other.

I am sorry for the delay in my response.
I didn't notice the page was jumped.
I thought the topic was stopped on the first page.
However, The link is not working, man.

As far as I know, five Fingers is a pop-rock band.
1st Album
Check this out.

I don't know much about them.
And the information is extremely hard to get from the internet.
When the band was formed, they were all collegians.
From mid '80s to early '90, they released 5 albums.
I know it's not enough.

Other bands
Yim Jae-bum and Asiana
Beakdoosan
Black Syndrome
Method
Vassline
Jeremy
Zihard
Diablo
Schizo
Silent Eye

(I kinda like some bands from this list, but not all.)

Thanks for the info KJ, it appears the discussion in the thread I was referencing was noticed by Azmodes and he in turn removed the band from the Metal Archives.

Well looks like Exist Trace have shrugged off their old style for good.

Ugh Exist Trace used to be so much better, at least to me. It's not bad per se, but it's definitely not the style that comes to mind when I think Exist Trace, who knows it might grow on me slowly.

Hey, guys.
This man isn't a musician that I love, not from far east either.
However, check this out.

Arakana by Darkkey

This video was popular in Korea, about ten years ago.
He's a Malaysian, does samba-rock which he invented...
I have no other information about him.
Sorry.

If I got this right, Miki, guitarist from Galmet, is doing a solo album. It's sure different from Galmet.

WHAT do you guys think of these "metalheads" saying shit about Babymetal?
http://www.heartofmetal.net/t20907p125-babymetal

I am not much of a fan, but can hear all the musical talent behind the singing.
If I spend enough time listening, might even buy their CD someday.
Too busy blasting DEATH and VENOM right now though, lol.

The way I look at them is they're a total gimmick, but that being said, the band is quite listenable, plus these girls are set up to become fantastic musicians once they move on with their careers when they're ready, they absolutely love the metal community and hanging out with legendary bands backstage who are giving them performance advice and the likes, not to mention the kami band that backs babymetal's trio of vocalists includes established musicians whom I've liked for quite some time such as their guitarists Leda, formerly of Galneryus and Deluhi, as well as Takayoshi Ohmura, who is roughly the Japanese Malmsteen. The other backing members are supposedly quite successful guys too, I just am not very familiar with them.

It's kinda sad seeing Babymetal getting bashed because, well, it's Babymetal. In my opinion, the music is not awful like the "true" metalheads think it is. As Tachi said, I completely agree with him.

In other news, 70's Japanese rockers from Okinawa, Murasaki, have announced their fourth album "Quasar" which will be released on May 25th. It will be the second full-length with Hiroto Arasaki from Heavy Metal Army on vocals, and he did a superb job on their 2007 album, so needless to say I'm very excited.

Terra Rosa, Crowley, Sabbrabells, Sabbat, Metalucifer, Blaze, Mein Kampf, Moonstruck, Vanishing Point, Valkylie, Volfeed, and Wolf are just some of my favorite Japanese metal bands. There are quite a lot of really good female vocalists from that country, and even back in the 1980s. I've grown to like female metal vocalists, and that's simply a plus for me.

When it comes to the sacred cows, I prefer X Japan when they were simply known as X, and the early Loudness and Earthshaker albums are the only ones that I really listen to. Anthem has always been fucking amazing, however.

To be honest, though, most of the notable Asian metal bands are out of Japan, but there are some exceptions. I like Idea (이데아), Sinawe, Stranger, Armageddon, and Crystal Zone a lot. Mostly the old stuff.

Hard Rock band Night Hawks are together again, they put out a single at the end of 2015. Shuichi Aoki has an amazing voice, and is a talented guitarist too, it's really nice seeing them active again.

This is amazing! Is this Nasty Rose related in any way to this one? http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Nasty_Rose/62505 I notice the lineups are completely different plus the male vocalist here so I'm curious. :o That and two different Nasty Roses from Japan in the 80s would be a crazy coincidence lol.
