Good Korean metal bands are very hard to find. My favorite is Avalanche, who have a split LP with Cratia but their best track is "Farewell to '99'" on the Friday Afternoon compilation.

EDIT: Of course, it just occured to me that they sing in English. :/ For Korean language metal I'd have to recommend Dash or Iron Rose from the same comp.

First time I heard Loudness singing in Japanese somewhere in the early 80's... Boy, that was weird
Must say I became a fan afterwards.
Haven't I heard they made a comeback recently ?
Can someone confirm that ?

The stuff off of the first two Boohwal records, if you like hard rock and power ballady kind of stuff

I know that Loudness was on tour not long ago in Holland. I love their old albums, 'The Birthday Eve', 1981, is in my top ten.

For LOUDNESS I can say: the older, the better !! And yes, they sing in Japanese, and sometimes in English, but you won't understand a word because it sounds like Japanese. But one thing is for sure: they are the best Japanese band that I ever heard. There are some others, like Earthshaker (which is also a pretty good band), and if you like '70s hardrock, check out Carmen Maki & Oz. They are awesome !

- Loudness is greatest asian heavy metal band. check out album: soldier of fortune & on the prowl. mike vescera on vocal.
- Concerto Moon, on of my favorite neoclassical metal bands. album: from father to son, rain forest & fragments of the moon. this is three best first full length album with takao ozaki in vocal.
- X Japan, awesome band, any style and influence. speed, symphony, progressive & power metal. all album is good.
- Zihard, last i found this korean band., listen to the album: life of passion., a good clear & highly neoclassical metal vocal.

Saver Tiger (pre-X japan) Demos
Letticia- Midnight dancer
Moonstruck_ Messiah has died
Ebony eyes (final fight is my favorite song from this band)
Tilt- Beast under your Bed
Precious- To Glory we steer
These are a few off the top of my head. Letticia and moonstruck can be found here.
I am also a huge fan of Make-Up. Sadly, I don't think they could be classified as a Heavy Metal band. I would say they are more melodic hard rock.
