Being a hardcore 1980s metal fan, I discover very few cool modern bands as only "classic" hard'n'heavy music is on my playlist. Nevertheless, yesterday night I came across Swedish "Diablo Swing Orchestra" band and their 2009 "Sing Along Songs for the Damned & Delirious" album is a real killer!

Dementia 1996 The Insanity Chronicles

It was good this album was mentioned in the request section as I always ignored checking it out.
This is one of the first albums in a very long time i must have played about 50 times in a row.

Gritty vocals sound a lot like Jeff Becerra from POSSESSED, but the music is mix of death, thrash, early 1980s power metal (REAL power metal!), and heavy metal.

I can imagine if POSSESSED recorded this after the "Eyes of Horror" album, if they were going to attempt to break into the big time, then this would have been the next logical step.
