Should I move all of the topics to here, from the Metal News / Promotion where forum members post one line about a band and their Facebook link?

More and more people are boycotting Facebook, so sticking it into its own ghetto seems appropriate.

Where have you heard about boycotting Facebook? I find more and more old bandmembers and 80's bands pages there everyday + there is a lot interesting groups to check out were people post cool stuff.

It's the best place to look if you are into memorabilia IMO

When I look at band profiles I am interested in on facebook, many haven't been updated in years.

Facebook bans people all the time, so then they have to create new profiles, simply to contact bands/companies that are too cheap to have their own websites/webstores?

That is one major reason why a lot of other social networks are getting more popular - no censorship, for example at :

More bands are joining Facebook now?
If they are, they might be joining in its last days, similar to when many left MySpace for Facebook.
Now a lot of Facebook users are looking everywhere else.

Since Youtube also started banning/blocking/deleting, other video sites are getting popular, like https://www.bitchute.com/

I tried a couple times to join https://vk.com/ but it doesn't work for me.
They have a ton of downloads on there it seems.
