Darkness (GER) - Defenders of justice finally arrived a few days back. I enjoy some old thrash too although this mighn't be the most original one.

Well I saw the following original cd on finnish auction:
Dawn : Nær Sólen Gar Niþer For Evogher

While I'm not much of a black metal fan generally, this album does interest me a bit.. sad it's a bit pricey so I think I'm going to pass for now.. :)

I found a masterwork M - 503 8-track player/receiver at a thrift store

so I picked up Black Sabbath - Vol. 4 and Jimi Hendrix - The Cry of Love 8-tracks.

I have two CDs on the way.

the first is what I call a 1,000 gorilla, though you all probably know it better as Raydead's sole 1993 full length album "End in Sight".

It was not in any imaginable way cheap but I did get it. A lossless rip of it will be uploaded in due time for those who do not want to spend an obscene amount of moolah for a copy of this genuine early 90s metal rarity.


The other is the limited Two-Disc version of Pre-Death band Mantas' Death By Metal compilation.

Always loved the early Death demos so this was a mandatory pre-order for me.

Got that Emerald Steel - Emerald Steel CD now. Too bad I realized too late that Hot Metal Records is a boot..
Shoulda known better when desription said that they were given out to press years ago for free or something in the 90's (it's most likely older bootleg from mid-90's or so). Oh well.

Hoped that the sound would be good.. well it is and isn't. Sound quality varies quite a bit. In some songs it's definitely allright, though lacks bit of a kick, but on few songs there's weirdly much rattling/scratchiness on vocals which is not so cool. Overall it's bearable though.

Was a bit disappointed on the record too. The two tracks I heard on Youtube were quite cool, but they were by far the best of the album. There's few really stupid songs like "Sex Metal" with tons of moaning (this is not "cult" by any means since the song itself sucks!) and the others just don't come even close at least by first listen. This album would had made very good Single or 3-track EP at most.

The 7's were cheap for example Scarecrow was just 3,10euros with postage included. Plus few more biddings for few nice $9 LP's if they go for sale that cheap auction! Who knows. Trying my luck. Pictures coming whenever something arrives.

My buying of records seems very perioidical.. long breaks and then quite a few at once.

Has some wear and tear but mostly in nice condition anyway. For example cover has one twisted corner.. well it straight now but has been twisted and you can definitely see it. But the colors are good and cover has no scratches. LP has very few very shallow wide "scratches", not deep cuts but on the very surface of it which cannot be felt or seen other than in certain angle with certain light.
