What is your Top-10 list of French heavy metal albums?
I mainly interested about the 80's french metal,so here is a list where you can check some great albums !!
I think that the french scene is underatted for lot of metal heads maybe because of the french language,but to me is one of the best in heavy metal.

I've only heard a few french metal bands and i haft to say that there are some great shit that have been created in the 80's by the french

Without a shadow of a doubt : Warning II (of course from the band Warning)

One of the most energetic albums of the entire decade (80's).

I'm not quite familiar with french metal and to be honest I haven't heared many of these albums but I think that Anyway, Drakkard, Lust, Mistreated, Nightmare, Sortilege, Ponce Pilate, Nightreaper and Warning are among the greatest.

I went through a phase of listening to French metal for a while and Sortilege 'Larmes De Heros' is the cream of the crop. Great list by the way.

No expert on the French scene by any means so would struggle to pick a top 10, but I think High Power -s/t, Sortilege - s/t and H-Bomb - Attaque are all fantastic albums.

Anything with ADX on it is instant classic. At least the first three albums.
Then goes Sortilege, Killers and Trust, I guess.

Warning is good, as well as Vulcain and the likes, but just plays in a different league, imo.

Sortilege, Warning, ADX and Satan Jokers are - to me - the best of the French metal scene, but damned if I can let this thread go by without mentioning Oxenkiller's "Monster of Steel", which always will have a sentimental place in my heart....

The top French metal band for me is Agressor. They're not traditional metal though, they're more like Morbid Angel, if they made an album like "Into the Pandemonium."

I think I have to listen to more French bands, since I never heard some of the bands listed. However, so far I think Sortilège, Square, ADX and Nightmare are among my favorites. Also an honourable mention to Scherzo, which unfortunately never released a proper full-length album, despite their amazing musicianship.
