    Country: Germany - Siegen, NRW
    Bitrate: 320

    Songs:

      1. Caught in the crossfire
      2. Out in the cold
      3. The message
      4. Seven seals
      5. Dormant forces
      6. Fear is the key
      7. Sensation of life
      8. Ever since the world began

    Line-Up:

Stefan "Lombard" Neuser - Vocals (ex Whetstone)
Burckhardt "Schmalli" Schmallenbach - Guitars (ex-Whetstone)
Martin Redieske - Guitars (ex Guardian, ex Welkin's Cry, later Inner Sanctum)
Martin "Schlaggi" Schlagner - Bass (ex Whetstone)
Jürgen Vitt - Drums (ex Guardian)

This tape was recorded on a Saturday afternoon in Summer 1991 by Ulrich Pösselt in the famous R.A.S.H. Studio in Gelsenkirchen. The band was in contact with Axel Thubeauville (US Metal Records), who wanted to hear unrecorded material to get a better feel for the band, so he organized this recording session. He offered the band a record-contract, but after short discussion withdrew the offer, because the band "sounded too german".
A heavy blow for the band, who disbanded for a couple of weeks, to reunite again minus Martin Redieske, who went to form INNER SANCTUM with the ex THE IMMORTAL Guitarplayer Markus Uelhoff.

The recording was made live in the studio, only the vocals were recorded seperately. Some dropouts and mistakes were not corrected, it's more a less first or second takes.

That's the fucking stupidest reason for not signing a band I've ever heard.

Well, the record label was called "US Metal Records", so I guess sounding too german was a spot of bother to them. You have to admit the label lived up to its name and had released a lot high class US-Metal Stuff (At the tine of this recording the brilliant debut of TITAN FORCE for example).

That makes a little bit more sense, but they could've made an exception, considering how damn good The Immortal are.
