The Obsessed were one of the early Black Sabbath-influenced doom metal bands on the American continent. They formed in 1976 under the name Warhorse but around 1977 they became known as The Obsessed. The band had gone on hiatus before releasing several albums and breaking up for good in 1995.
Recorded a 10-track album for Metal Blade Records in 1985 but it remains unreleased.
Featured on the 1985 compilation Metal Massacre VI with the song "Concrete Cancer".

The little I know about this pretty obscure THE OBSESSED 7″ comes from various not too trustworthy internet sources: Apparently the two instrumentals featured here were recorded in the 80s. This bootleg seems to be coming from the notorious Doom Records label that popularized Pagan Altar, Pentagram, Obsessed and other bands in the 80s & 90s, yet never payed any royalties to artists. The a-side matrix has the following etching: “160080. The Obsessed (Project”) and the b-side reads: “160081. Wino & Company”. Allegedly, 200 copies were printed and available through mailorder only.
