ALKATRAZZ, hailing from Maidstone in Kent and fronted by Australian singer Craig Stevens (real name Craig Pinkney), toured as support on a three band package with TYGERS OF PAN TANG and MAGNUM. The group was assembled during 1980. Scoring a deal with major label RCA Records ALKATRAZZ debuted in 1981 with the album 'Young Blood'. Second set 'Radio 5' followed in 1982. During the Spring of 1983 former SAMSON and IRON MAIDEN drummer Clive Burr figured in the ranks. Burr would later join PRAYING MANTIS, TRUST, GOGMAGOG and ELIXIR.
