Reviews » [Review] Iced earth - Dystopia
Iced earth's latest and tenth CD in there 20 year history. Dystopia is a solid effort for Jon Schaffer the mastermind behind iced earth. This CD us the first featuring Stu Block former singer of into eternity. Stu has strong vocals on this Cd and much different style than he did in Into eternity. Though this Cd is a typical iced earth album had hoped for a more expanded sound but the traditional sound shines through here including the one mellower track on the CD. all in all I would rate this Cd out of 10 an 8, solid but had expected more. Still worth the money if ya haven't picked it up yet do so you will enjoy it.

Honestly, Burnt Offerings is the (to me) the most boring and generic of the Iced Earth catalog. There is
no "fire" to it at all. (yuck)

Burnt Offerings is also my least favorite ICED EARTH album. I really liked the new one. Lots of melody in it. Sometimes ICED EARTH gets too monotonous for me with their riffing. Stu's vocals on the new one were very impressed as well.

Agree 100%. The rest are mediocre the least. Only exception maybe is "Something wicked this way comes" that has some good old Iced Earth moments.
