BLACK OAK ARKANSAS - Live On The Hog (1979) USA
    WDIZ FM Broadcast
Bob Carr Municipal Auditorium, Orlando, Florida : Jan 1979

    http://www.imagesup.net/?di=1614180888300

Jim "Dandy" Mangrum - Lead Vocals/Washboard (THE KNOWBODY ELSE, BLACK OAK, SAVAGE INNOCENCE)
Shawn Lane - Guitar (THE STREETS, SAVAGE INNOCENCE, THE WILLYS, OUT OF BOUNDS, LANE & HELLBORG, HLS, D.D.T.)
Jimmy Henderson - Guitar (BLACK OAK, RUBY STARR, THE STREETS)
Rickie "Ricochet" Reynolds - Guitar (THE KNOWBODY ELSE, BLACK OAK)
Andy Tanas - Bass (BLACK OAK, THE STREETS, KROKUS)
Jerome Thomas - Drums (BOBBY WHITLOCK, THE S.O.S. BAND, JOEY STUCKEY, CHRIS HICKS)

This show came from Shawn Lane's personal tape collection.
Shawn was a big advocate of tape trading and had long distributed bootleg shows to music fans worldwide through a small grassroot tape community long before the internet.
This particular show is a real treat for BOA fans and guitar enthusiasts due to the excellent sound quality and a mind blowing performance by Shawn who was only 15 at the time.
He would turn 16 in a matter of weeks. (March 21st)
Amongst older BOA favourites, the band also played four exclusive songs which never made it on to any album, making this a must have for Black Oak Arkansas fans.
It's a real shame that this particular line-up never got the chance to record a studio album, as their chemistry sounds amazing here.
Sadly, Shawn was taken from us at the early age of 40 on September 26, 2003.
His sweet spirit is greatly missed.
    Enjoy and remember....
