    Thanks to the original uploader.

    The mix is :
    1) a million times clearer and sharper sounding than the actual album
    2) you can definitely tell all of the instruments/vocals/channels are mixed differently, and some effects are missing.

the question now is WHY did they release it differently?

If i remember rightly this one was uploaded to the old Hear Rock City blog or forum (R.I.P.) & there was a discussion there about how such a different sounding mix from the completed record had come to be pressed to acetate by the label. I seem to recall someone saying that the acetate mix was done early in the mixing process & was only intended for the label to hear how the record was shaping up, but was sent to the pressing plant by mistake. Whether there's any truth to that theory i couldn't say, but it does at least sound like a feasible explanation.
That aside, this was a very odd period in Cooper's career & i could never quite bring myself to embrace it, though it did yield some very good individual songs. Would be interesting to hear him re-record the best of the Flush, Forces & DaDa material now in a more 'classic' fashion.

There's an acetate of Constrictor that has alternate mixes and a track that's not on the album (didn't make the final cut).
