    Info

On their debut album, Iowa's Mortuary Oath plays a form of Doom/Death which kind of reminds me of a slowed-down version of early-era Deceased. There is only one entry for them on YouTube, and the sound quality is kind of crappy, so I decided not to post it.

Debut CD 1996. This band stood out from many other US bands. They are a mix of black and death with vocals more black metall-ish. They're grimmacing. Lots of speed/thrash/old school influence in the riffing. I know they were also very inspired by King Diamond & Mercyful Fate in their music. It's only 2 members are Blakk (all instruments and vocals, and also plays in Angelkill) and Jeff Olson (all lead guitars). Highly recommended.
Scanned and ripped from my personal collection.
