I see thousands of you are willing to upload, here, at HMR Forum.
So there is a short plan, from me, like the one Strappado had sent me when I wanted to upload my stuff, here in this Forum.
For your convenience:

First of all you must create an archive.
- Download winrar (or use winzip).
- Put the files in the archive and save it

Second step (4shared etc.)
- Click on your name in 4shared or go to http://www.4shared.com/account/home.jsp#
- Click on "Upload Files" (it's at the bottom) or simply drag the rar/zip archive to it.
- Wait for it to complete
- Click on the file-name and copy the url

- You can also use WeTransfer.
Keep in mind, free WeTransfer is hosting your files for only a single week.
Mega is a good hosting site, too.

To upload in the forum you simply go here: http://heavymetalrarities.com/forum/upload.php
- Choose the category and fill out the info.
- Click on submit and wait for a mod to approve it.

For non-Uploaders, do we use the 'Upload' page when adding a higher quality version or re-uploading an album that has already been previously uploaded?

Threads can be merged by a moderator, if the same topic is found.



In any thread, you can post a re-upload download link in the comment section.
After you copy and paste the link, highlight and click the eyeball button / icon,
Or click the eye first and paste the link inside.

Some think it is a pain in the ass to hide download links.
It is a small detail that could prevent the website being shut down for legal reasons in the future.

Any chance this could be moved into the Forum Rules section?
Ideally as a sticky right after the main Rules post?

If I'd have found this ages ago I would have started uploading ages ago and its only after Emil helpfully explained basically exactly this in a pm that I felt confident enough to give it a go earlier this week.

I was just about to write a 'How to upload if you've never uploaded before' thread for exactly the reasons this one was written, when I thought I'd best double-check no-one had done it before and lo, I've just seen this tucked away here.

It would do a lot of good placed somewhere a lot more prominent imho =)

Updated Guide

1. Create an account at a file host (I recommended MEGA.NZ or Mediafire)

2. Pack the files in ZIP or RAR archive.

3. Upload the ZIP or RAR archive to MEGA or Mediafire

4. Go to "Upload" upload.php

5. Pick a cetegory who fits the genre

6. Fill in the form

7. The Link should be the URL from your file host

8. Click on "Submit"

9. Wait for admin or moderator to approve it.
