Well thanks a bunch m5570, now you've went and made those of us who tried to take a balanced and even handed approach to your greivances look like fools for giving you the benefit of the doubt & got yourself kicked off the board for your troubles.

I thought this was worth pointing out just for the sake of fairness.

I understand the frustration with that, and i agree with you that it's now the biggest fault on this board, but i should point out that in the early days of the forum leaving a reply was the only way to unlock the hidden links. There was no 'thanks' button or thumbs up/down buttons back then.
The reason you can see the links by typing 'thanks' is because it was designed that way on purpose, but once the other buttons came into use the ability to see the link by typing any response should have been disabled, but for whatever reason it never was.
I point this out because there may well be people who have been forum members for a long time, but only visit sporadicaly & assume that things remain the same as they were back at the beginning & type 'thanks' out of habit because they haven't read the rules since they joined the board way back when.
None of those recently banned users can use this as an excuse for their behaviour however, but it is worth bearing in mind when deducting points from members in the future.

Well, on a positive note: I caught myself thinking that calling you "16-years old" on this board...

Hahaha sorry for that... But you can see, 6 pages full of "thank you", cleaning it up would be great. Although it is an old topic, you can see more recent "thank you" comments, even after the implementation of the Thanks button.

If I searched that I'd be guilty of at least the same.

Strappado must update system of hiding links…
