Some early HEAVY Hard Rock which some call Proto-metal or Heavy Prog. This German band is called Epitaph. This is their debut album released in 1971. I hear some definite Black Sabbath influence in the solos. But they utilize 2 guitars and some twin harmonies the way Wishbone Ash did, but heavier and proggier than Wishbone Ash. Heavy blues-sounding influence from Blue Cheer as well. Other songs begin mellow and build into rampant jams and riffing and solo-ing that just rule. Enjoy. I believe this Epitaph pre-dates all other bands called Epitaph.

This belongs more accurately in the Heavy Rock/Proto-Metal section, perhaps a mod could move it?
Also this original line-up of the band was comprised of two UK members & two Germans (UK/Ger).
It's a great little record, recommended for those who enjoy twin guitar stuff like Wishbone Ash.

thank you for re-uploading. great record I did not know till today.
I like this band since the late 70's where a live show was broadcasted in german TV in the Rockpalast format, later bought some records but never this debut... some band members are still active as Epitaph and in other bands as well.
