The 3rd and best album from England's Wishbone Ash. They have a sound and style all their own and it peaks on this record. The imagery of the cover plus the lyrics about fantasy/mythology were a sort of first at that time. The music is exquisite prog rock with eclectic elements. Many guitar harmonies and the utilization of 2 guitars tremendously well. The acoustics are simply incredible. Beautiful songs about myths and warriors. "Throw Down The Sword" could be metalized to become a Bathory viking-epic or a Manowar circa-1984 anthem. It's ahead of its time. And the vocal layers and harmonizations are perfect. A GREAT album.
