When bands and musicians give away (stream) their songs for free on soundcloud / myspace / reverbnation / youtube / etc, how is it piracy?
Piracy implies we sell stolen merchandise, and this site is free.
If we do not see an official band website / record label linking them to digital sales or CD/vinyl/tape sales, it is in the free domain.

You don't see it because it was up for only a short time at this link https://soundcloud.com/steel-sea but that was only to let a few close individuals have a listen. The Steel Sea songs at this link I am not all that worried about listening to. We have had some discussion about an official Mistrust Demo tracks release with correct photos and all, that would be a bit higher quality but that has been on the back burner until all the members are on board. James beach may be the individual releasing this on vinyl for us initially. His company just released Northwest Metal works volume1 a compilation that has a lot of great 80's bands on it including Steel Sea with my brother Kelly on guitar http://nwmetalworxmusic.com/

So when was the demo exactly produced?
1985?

Sounds a bit strange to me as I always thought Howard Gray replaced Jeff L'Heureux after the Spin the world album which came out in 1986.
