    Bio (from www.nest.it/~yngwie/page5.html)
The first embryo of Dark Avenger comes to the light in May 1994, after the meeting of Davide Betelli (bass player who loves Iron Maiden, Dream Theater and Rush) and Paolo Offredo (guitar player influenced by Yngwie Malmsteen and Iron Maiden). After lots of alternations, the fisrt official line-up includes Andrea Vignati S.o.a.b.! (vocals), Marco Ruggeri (guitar) and Alessandro Cappelletti ( drums). With this formation, the band gigs on 12TH october 1995 (for the first official time) in a rock context, taking large agreements among heavy-metal-men. At this time, Dark Avenger's sound is influenced by NWOBHM (Iron Maiden in particular). After the departure of the drummer (that now plays in a rock-grunge band, GOOD LUCK!), our heroes join Viviano Crimella, a talentous drummer coming from a progressive band called Arkhè. After this fact, the band splits up with the S.o.a.b.! singer, because of human incomprehentions and very spare professionality (now he "sings" in an alternative band called Egofish, DIE IN PAIN!) and is gladly substituted by Marco Moranzoni, a serious, young rated singer. Now the five start to compose new songs, but the stylisthical differences of the guitar player Marco Ruggeri bring him to split up (now he plays in a trash band called Decay, GOOD LUCK!). Andrea Carraro is now in as the new and definitive guitar player: he's influenced by guitar heroes like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci and Eddie Van Halen. With This line-up (September 1996), Dark Avenger starts the rehearsals and records the first official demo tape "Epitaph Of Credulous" in November of the same year. After the recording session, the drummer splits-up (GOOD LUCK!) and Alessandro Ravelli, influenced by Nicko McBrain and by all the best drummers on this heart, joins the group to remain as definitive. Feeling different in style and ideas, Marco Moranzoni leaves the group (GOOD LUCK!) and is substituted by Umberto Mordenti, lover of James Labrie and Glenn Hughes, in May 1997.
