This is a vinyl transfer using a Technics quartz direct drive turntable with Ortofon cartridge. The files were editing and cleaned of noise using DIGITAL AUDIO RESTORATION TECHNOLOGY software and the tracks were then run through a virtual triode pre amplifier to attain an RIAA EQ curve. The MP3 files are 128 kbs converted from Wav to MP3 using WINLAME.

Babyface members Riley, Barth and Turpin evolved to become the band AXE from Colorado after their producer changed the direction of the record without their approval. Listen to the track provided below and you can immediately pickup that AXE sound even in these early recordings.

Babyface also issued 2 singles from this lone album, each of which had an exclusive non-LP flipside, ('I Can't Stop The Rain' & 'Carrousels'). I've been unable to hunt either song down so far, but hope springs eternal.
Worth noting that Bobby Barth would also go on to work with BLACKFOOT (circa 'Siogo' & 'Vertical Smiles') & ANGRY ANDERSON (at the time of his 'Blood From Stone' album), as well as releasing the solo 'Two Hearts, One Beat' LP.
My favourite Barth record though is the archival Wakefield album, 'The Lost Warthog Tapes' recorded in 1970 & '71. It's very 'of it's time' in terms of the overall sound & the range of influences, but contains some really interesting & unusual music & the musicianship is next-level.
