Mind's Eye were a heavy metal band formed in Orlando, FL in 1988, by classmates Bryan Shultz, Chuck McMenamin, Dave Borkman and Chris Bongiovanni. Vocalist Sterling Walker joined the lineup in 1991.
The band recorded a 5 song EP entitled, The Witching Hour, at ARTI Studios in Orlando, FL, engineered and produced by Steve Reel and Steve Pietrofesa. The EP included the songs Shadowplay/Unveiled, Curtains Will Fall, The Witching Hour, Deus Ex Machina and The Intruder.
Mind's Eye competed in the 1991 Florida ROCK WARS, where they came in 2nd place in the state finals. In 1992, they began recording their first full length album, Darkly Wise, at Signature Sound in Orlando, FL with Steve Smith, Dave Face and Ken Cordes engineering and producing.
The album contained 11 original songs including Arrival, Storm Rising, Kill Aphrodite, Fallen Trees and the title track, Darkly Wise.
They continued playing shows across Central Florida, opening up for national acts Vicious Rumors, Massacre, Doctor Butcher and Cynic.
Mind's Eye disbanded in 1993. Former members Shultz, Borkman and Bongiovanni went on to form alternaitive rock band Hypnos.
