Brain Damage hailed from Firenze (not to be confused with Braindamage
from Torino who played thrash metal) and released only this self titled
4 tracks demo tape in 1990,a good example of melodic hard rock/aor,
after the split in 1995 some of the former members found fame and
fortune into the pop italian scene...enjoy it!!!

Here is a short article about this band, from Italian magazine Metal Shock, 1990 January.

Among the latest wave of demo-tapes received in the editorial office, that of the Florentine band Brain Damage, authors of sparkling rock with hard veins and with a lot of leaning toward the melodic, also stood out. The four young musicians (average age 20) manage to successfully combine easy-going refrains with sound situations that are quite sophisticated but far from cloying. We also had a chance to view a live-video of them and this impression of a technical but at the same time brilliant and entertaining band is confirmed.I know that stylistically you would like to know something more precise, but fortunately Brain Damage play something quite personal that already labeling as Heavy Metal would be unfair. Pietro Stefanini ably fulfills the delicate double task of vocalist and keyboardist, well supported by vocalist/guitarist Francesco Sighieri, while the very young drummer Stefano Luchi and bassist Antonio Stefanini diligently play their parts that although of lesser prominence still remain essential. The band's live releases for now have coincided with events and competitions of some significance, such as Rockontest, viva i Giovani and rock Italia. The latest product reviewed by us is the third demo in the series and it is also the one that should allow the band to take the leap forward and in addition to the presence on an upcoming compilation, moves are already being planned to get to the album. As mentioned Brain Damage may have a market outside of hard rock as well, so we hope that some record company will find the will to enhance this band that really can say something interesting in the years to come.
