An album of its time, the first full length album of Japanese feelgood rock band Mode was a superstar collective of sorts, especially considering the activity of drummer Tatsuya Yamada (山田達也), who has since worked with the likes of X Japan frontman Yoshi, Fence of Defense and Misako Honjo (本城未沙子). While the album definitely has a good amount of poppy new wave influence ("Wild Side", "Starlight", "Jump Up, My Heart"), it also has a good blend of highly melodious hard rock as well ("Stranger", "Good Bye "Decadence"", "Lip Dance"). A very fun and fulfilling listen, this one is highly recommended to fans of extremely melodious, hard rock with heavy pop influences.

They look very intimidating and I have no idea why or how that is. :P Back on topic, I've never heard of these guys, but from your description of them, this sounds like it's right up my alley, especially with some of the other names Mode's drummer has worked with. Can't wait to give this a try!

Nice pop HEAVY, at their rockiest they sound like VAN HALEN(HAGAR era)(Song #2) a bit, mixed with BILLY IDOL, CHICAGO and MISSING PERSONS!! But the pop, techno synths dominate their approach and the outcome is a bit too light !!! I wish to have more lead guitars!! Anyway, many thanx RM for posting this rarity and giving us so the chance to hear it!! CHEERS!! porosimetal
