Released in April of 2006, "Hajime no Ippo (はじめの一歩)" was the third single release of the awesome underground Japanese metal band Hooligan (風里銃), also romanized as Fuurigun. I actually never heard of these guys until I saw this single for sale, although I guess they were moderately popular in the scene for a few years until their split in late 2015, after a remarkable run of 11 years. The two songs on the single are nice melodic tracks that have a classic heavy metal punch to it, with a strong power metal influence as well. Very nice stuff and highly recommended to melodic-power metal fans out there.

Oh, and the tags are all screwed up with the Japanese names coming up in question-marks and the release saying that it's from 2007. I didn't realize all of that crap happened until I went back and everything was already uploaded. Sorry for the slight inconvenience!

Awesome stuff, although the singin' at times is a bit weird but also very good at others!! The song rythms are following a fast pace(with the occasional tempo shifts) and the guitar riffing and leads are hella hot!!! Extra ordinary is also the bass work at times!!
