I noticed Iordan mentioned that a long time ago.
Band name seems familiar. He should ask somebody like Ron Quintana because if they were from San Francisco, he would have wrote about them in his Metal Mania fanzine and played him on his Rampage radio show.

I actually asked Ron about this when it was first brought up by Stormspell. Don't think he knows anything about them. Guess it couldn't hurt to ask again, though.

March 25, 2020: In a more positive news, thanks to a loyal customer, the Mystery Band has been found! There are tentative preliminary talks for a proper release, whenever this pandemonium is over and return to normal operation is possible. Will keep you posted when things unfold. Decades ago I got via tape-trading this STEEL ASSASSIN demo (and it's exactly the band from California!):
Steel Assassin - "The Executioner" (Demo 1984)
Tracklist:
1-The Executioner
2-Phantom
3-Fallin' Steel

Now my question is: this demo was released by the band you was talking about on this thread ? Or another band with this name did exist? Thanx in advance!

"The Executioner" is by the Massachusetts band, originally from their 1984 demo. The only known material from the California band so far is the content of the master reels acquired by Stormspell Records, which they uploaded to Bandcamp and 'unofficially' released on CD in what became a fruitful search to locate original band members.
