Record Questions » Gotham City - The Unknown digital release by Believe Music / Akarma?
Do anyone know anything about the digital compilation of Gotham City's album 'The Unknown' + more?
It was posted on various streaming sites in 2014 & 2020 by a publisher called Akarma.
The tracks seem to be taken from the Flawed Gems bootleg.

Believe Music and Akarma also claimed the license foor the videos on Youtube.

Are there any info on these publishers out there?

Akarma https://www.discogs.com/label/49461-Akarma are an Italian label with a large back catalogue. They're connected to Comet Records https://www.discogs.com/label/58590-Comet-Records-2 & it's many sub-labels including Metal Legions https://www.discogs.com/label/186283-Metal-Legions.
They've got a pretty chequered reputation with releases running the gamut from officially licenced product to out & out bootlegs.
I recall reading something about them a long time ago, (possibly on the Corroseum forum?) that linked them to the mafia, and not in a comparitive way, they meant the actual horses-head-in-your-bed mafia.
No idea if there's any truth in that of course.

It seems a reasonably safe bet that it's the same folks, particularly with their prior reputation for dealing 'from the bottom of the pack'. If i happen across the original source for the mafioso speculation i'll let you know.
