Always wondered who was behind the New Wave Of Swedish Heavy Metal bootleg label.

I had always assumed that it ws a retrospective term that had come to be in recent times, but if this fella is to be believed, (and i'm guessing a look through the magazine he wrote for would bear his claims out), then that wasn't the case.

You mean FWOSHM or NWOSHM?

The FWOSHM "term" have been around since early 80's.
Usually it was written in Swedish "FVASHM" (Första Vågen av Svensk Heavy Metal - First Wave of Swedish Heavy Metal)

Check out the Hammer Zines on the forum
they used to do FVASHM specials.

Edit: I changed the topic title. I believe it was misunderstood, I was reffering to the "New Wave of Swedish Heavy Metal" bootleg label who did 7" reissues in the mid 90s (?).
