PROWLER were a Japanese Speed Metal/Heavy Metal quartet from Tokyo who formed in 1980.
Their first release was 1983's 'Heavy Metal Power On!!', a limited edition split 8" EP shared with YOKE OF STEEL.
Both bands contributed 2 songs each to the outsized vinyl which played at 33⅓ RPM, released by Flyng Beat Records.
Guitarist Nori was then replaced by new member Daisuke, with bassist Hiro also temporarily leaving the band, a move which saw ex-DEMENTIA, future X JAPAN/LOUDNESS member Taiji Sawada join for a time before Hiro returned in early 1985.
With the line-up stabilized once more, Prowler then recorded their 2nd & final release, the bizarrely titled 'Attack Of Metal Strike Your Cunt!!' 7" released by Penta Records in 1985.
The 7 inch came housed in a garish picture sleeve that saw the group looking like bargain basement MOTLEY CRUE wannabes, but rest assured, the music on the record itself showed no sign of any such lightweight influences.
Both songs on the 45, 'Back Fire' & 'Flash!', were absolute pounders. Full throttle Speed Metal blazers distinguished by authoritative balls-out playing & gonzoid attack.
Unfortunately Prowler were to disassemble for good shortly after the 45's release, with guitarist Daisuke going on to have the highest profile of the band's former members, joining ACTION! and appearing on 5 of their albums between 1986 & 1989.

Thanks to poserkiller & Emil for finding a way to make the link work on the forum. I was tearing my hair out trying to think up some kind of solution so your intervention was very much appreciated.
Any idea what the problem was so i can avoid it happening again in the future?
Thanks also for merging the threads. My apologies for somehow missing that the record was already here, albeit at a lower bitrate.
I searched for it before uploading & posting, but still missed it somehow.

No problem. I think it has something to do with the "!" marks but I'm not sure. I had the same problem with the link when trying it on various link-shorterners, before finding tiny.cc which worked.

Try make short names without spaces for the the rar archives on future uploads. It may solve the issue :)

I wondered about the exclamation points as well, but the fact that the break in the link occured near the last bracket in the date made me wonder if it was something to do with it instead. Either way, it's fixed now thanks to your perseverance, so thank you for the assistance.
