The 1st demo from the Rochester, NY band Raid. Excellent thrash inspired by Sacrifice, Voivod & Kreator. It's a raw sounding demo. After this demo was recorded, I joined the band as rhythm guitarist for several months and I co-wrote the rehearsal song "The Masque Of The Red Death" with the band. This rehearsal is the only recording of that song I believe. After I left Raid they recorded a 2nd demo and split up. I joined Astaroth ('90-'92), then Buried Beneath ('92-'95), then Night Conquers Day ('95-'01).

The vocals mainly remind the bands mentioned above, their riffing and song structures are more in the path followed by speed-power-thrash bands like NASTY SAVAGE, QUICK CHANGE, KUBLAI KHAN, but the low production budget doesn't do these compositions any justice!! The rehearsal song(an intricate tune with nice ideas and delivery) sounds almost of same quality as the demo ones!! Aside that fact this demo is a pretty enjoyable affair that will satisfy all hunters of the cult late 80's thrash era!! VAALKOTH,many thanx for the offer!!! CHEERS!! porosimetal
