NOT the Texas band! This is the Yonkers, NY band that became Immolation in 1988. This is a Rehearsal from April 1987, the 2nd demo from 1987 and the 3rd and final demo from 1988. In 1990 they released an EP (recorded in '87), but they had already changed the band name to Immolation in 1988 and evolved into one of the forefathers of exquisite death metal. Here, in Rigor Mortis, you can hear hints of what Immolation would become, but also some thrash roots. Excellent killer cult demo's and a cool rehearsal that even has a cover of the classic Exodus song "Piranha". Enjoy.

VAALKOTH , many thanx for this killer pack!! The Rehearsal tape comes very muddy sounding, almost a blurr, needed maybe only to their die hard fans!! The two demos though have a nice sound and they are fine examples of rough edged death thrash!! Early SADUS, ABOMINATION come to mind and of course IMMOLATION!! Files of historic value!!
