A great mix between Dream Theater and Rush with an emphasis on melody and a very good singer. This is the second (self) release by the US band Labyrinth. They were about to release a third album in 1998 when they, though the internet, discovered that an Italian band used the same name. They decided to change their name to Unified Past and remove the metal influences.

I have included an alternate version of the song Kingdom of the Stars where the two parts are put together into one track.

The first album is available on Strappado's blog (http://strappadometalblog.blogspot.com/ ... -1991.html). Check it out! The description is wrong, though. I do not think they sound anything like power metal. It's great melodic prog metal.
