INFO: Kevin Wet - Wet 12" VISUAL VINYL VV 1003 1980
Best known amongst collectors of Hard Rock obscurities for the semi-pornographic nature of the packaging, Portland's Kevin Wet's notoriety sprang from coverage in the pages of 'Kerrang!' and 'Aardschok' in the early 80's. Wet utilized the services of local musicians to assist him in the recording of his two EPs. Bassist Julian Raymond and drummer Jaime St. James were both members of MOVIE STAR at the time, the band that would evolve into BLACK N' BLUE. St. James would switch roles to vocalist in the transition with Pete Holmes taking his place on drums. Ironically, Pete Holmes played drums on 'Sunday's Girl' on Kevin Wet's first EP. Raymond would move to Los Angeles where he would front BANG BANG and DEAR MR. PRESIDENT and FLESH AND BLOOD before taking up employment as an A&R man.
This mega rare first record was released on clear vinyl and is not a picture disc as some believe, although the second release, 'Hard Attack', was, both depicting Wet's girlfriend.
