This is another Icebreaker from Soviet Ukraine – this is what «krigolam» (or «krygolam») means in Ukrainian. This demo also has another title – «Подорож до Аврори» («Travel to Aurora»), and dated both with 1985 and 1986 years according to different sources.
This band was founded back in 1983 in Ukrainian region of Tavria (Korsunka village) under monicker of Postoronnim V. (Trespassers W.). In 1984 it was renamed to Ledokol (Icebreaker, in Russian), and it was renamed again to Krigolam (also Icebreaker, but in Ukrainian) in the wake of article in local «Ленінський прапор» («Lenin's Banner») newspaper.
This is the only "metal" demo of Krigolam; in the 2nd half of 80s decade they changed their style to folk/prog-rock and play it since then 'til now. Music on 1986 demo is mid- to slow-paced metal rock with numerous bluesy touches. Vocal sung in Ukrainian. Like many Soviet bands, they played assorted mixture of all kinds of rock in the vein of early 80s, making no difference between styles.
