To answer your main question, yes, this is THAT Disciple
(there are at least 5 Disciple band from this time period).
This was their third demo (after 1993’s Trail of Tears),
taking place in a time period that the band later referred
to as “practice runs.” You can still recognize Kevin
Young’s vocals, even though they are more traditional
metal in nature. You can also recognize elements of their
later 90’s sound as well. But overall, they are less
focused style-wise – jumping from traditional metal to
groove metal to piano power ballads and back again.
