One of THE BEST atmospheric doom/death albums ever released. It has elements of the avantgarde, it's technical, the mid-tempo double-bass parts remind me of Death and the guitar sound and some other riffing reminds me of Mercyless. The synths are used GREAT, sometimes in a Nocturnus-like way and others in a totally gothic atmospheric embellishment. The vocals are grim tortured-like in the vein of Martin Van Drunen (Pestilence). And the guitar-solo's are masterworks of progressiveness. A highly recommended album!
